Dr. Murthy was born and raised in India and attended Mysore Medical College, where he received his doctorate. He decided to continue his education in Internal Medicine and, shortly after, completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT. To advance his career further,
he acquired additional training in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.
He has worked as a consulting cardiologist for Indiana Heart Associates, WVU Heart and Vascular Institute, and Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region (now Saskatchewan Health Authority) and held the positions of Director of Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging and Director of the Heart Function Clinic.
